The Arthur Opti-Mrs Club is a Women’s service club that was established over 50 years ago! The group was founded by some of the wives of the Men’s Optimist club in 1972.

The Opti-Mrs primary goal is to offer support to youth and other groups in our community that could benefit from assistance. This support is sent out in the form of organized events and donations (not limited to) schools, sports groups, the food bank, local not-for-profit events, and larger community initiatives.
The primary source of revenue for the Opti-Mrs originally was earned by catering events such as Christmas dinners, weddings and bake sales however this has vastly expanded over time. In more recent years annual fundraising events also include the Christmas Home Tour, a Mothers Day High Tea event in the spring, and weekly Bingo that is held at the Arthur Legion from September to May.
The Arthur Opti-Mrs Club is most well known for hosting the town of Arthur’s Santa Claus Parade, an evening event held on the last Saturday of November each year, a long standing proud tradition for this group.
Members of the Opti-Mrs meet the first Wednesday of each month and are always looking for new members! Feel free to reach out on Facebook, attend a weekly Bingo to speak to an Opti-Mrs member in person, or contact President Sharon O’Donnell for details on attending a meeting. (519)-820-4289
